The Chris Delfsma/Michael Caine Mustang and BMW M3 of the father-and-son combination of Michael and Hayden Auld have shared outright honours in the twin endurance races for the penultimate round of the 2026 NSW Production Touring Cars Championship at the One Raceway Shelley Circuit.
Delfsma and Caine controlled the opening enduro, with the Aulds coming home second outright after Hayden chased down and passed Jayson Williamson late in the race.
However, Delfsma and Caine suffered a spin in the first corner of the second enduro, necessitating an unscheduled pit stop which saw the Mustang losing several laps. The Aulds once again played second fiddle to Williamson early in the race, but a scorching stint from Hayden saw the BMW M3 emerge with the outright race victory.
The positive for the Century 21 Mustang squad was a new category lap record for Caine on the Shelley circuit.
The Aulds and Caine/Delfsma were the winners of Class X and A2 respectively, with Williamson taking out Class A1. Class B2 went the way of David Seraglio, with the Class C wins shared between the Matt/Max Bolton Renault Megane and Oskar Butt/Ryan Pring Astra.
Richard Buttrose extended his overall points lead with a pair of Class D victories, including a stunning third outright in the second endurance race.
Buttrose now only needs a handful of points to be assured of the title in the final round of the championship on 24-25 October.
