SSRAA BULLETIN | BATHURST 2014 – RND 3 BREAKFAST – 2013 DRIVE DAY/PRESENTATION DAY

Bathurst:

We’re doing it again!  We have accepted the invitation to return to Bathurst in 2014.

The format and track time will be the same as this year, which represents great value.  Once the contracts have been signed we will be requesting deposits of $700.00 to secure your spot on the grid.  All deposits will be non refundable.

This event is a coming of age for the club and recognition of strength and excellence of the Production Touring Car Category.  I trust you will support it strongly again in 2014.

2 Hour Race 2014:

Following strong support from members we will be continuing negotiations to find a suitable weekend for our extra long enduro.

The process is we will have to wait for the CAMS rounds to be decided and we will then choose an appropriate date.  Broad brush though, it will be around two hours in duration, with timed fuel stops and it will be for cars eligible under the current 3E rules.

We are talking to other categories about filling the rest of the day and we hope to make this a significant event on the Production Touring Car calendar.

Gina’s Morning Tea SMP 23 July:

Our famous morning tea will be held again at 10.30 on Sunday.  Trophies will be handed presented, including a cache of old ones we have had for quite a while.

Make sure you and your team are there to enjoy this PTC tradition.

2013 Drive Day 2nd December:

Once again based on your strong support, we will be heading to Wakefield Park for our annual Drive and Passenger Day.  The event will differ from previous years in that we will be having a more formal awards function prior to event, so this day will be about fun and heaps of track time.  We will have the whole track for the day and we have great flexibility in how we utilise that.  Passengers will be permitted and road cars can have their own sessions, if there is a demand for that.

Graeme Shaw is bringing along some wines and some of his foodie mates and we will have something for the kids to do too.

We will be supporting the Cerebral Palsy Foundation on this day, more information on that soon.

Our objective is to make this a special day for all concerned and give you the opportunity to thank family, teams and sponsors.

We will require payment up front, as we need to purchase the track for the day.  As details come to hand about costing and scheduling, I will pass those on.

Regards,

Gerry Murphy
